Abstract

I am developing and analyzing molecular markers for ALB from the 4 populations found in the US (New York, New Jersey, Chicago and California), 3 populations in Europe (Germany, France and Austria) and Toronto and beetles from every province in China to compare population structure and find source populations.

I am looking in detail at the Toronto population of ALB to see if there is a genetic signature of how the population has spread throughout the landscape.

I am doing the same analysis for the Asian stinkbug, Halyomorpha halys that was discovered in Pennsylvania and Oregon.
