The discipline of Medical Entomology is devoted to the study of insects and closely related arthropods that impact human health.
Medical Entomology extension strives to show how information gained from scientific research on the behavior, ecology, and epidemiology of arthropod disease vectors can be utilized by the public, local and state officials and stake holders.
Medical Entomologists are employed by private and public universities, private industries, and federal, state, and local government agencies.
