Grape Pelidnota (GP), Pelidnota punctata Linnaeus (also called Spotted Pelidnota, Grapevine Pelidnota, Grapevine Beetle, Spotted June Beetle)

North American Range:  Transcontinental United States and southern Canada.

Hosts:  Hardwoods, usually grapes.

Overall Appearance:  Shiny light brown to yellow brown with black spot on each side of the pronotum and black spots on the elytra.  The adult markings are mistaken for the ALB. 

Size:  17 to 25 mm, or roughly ¾” to 1” long. 

Elytra (wing covers)Brown with three black spots on each side.

Scutellum: Brown.

Antennae (feelers):  Brown. 

Feet/Legs:  Brown.

Adults Present:  First part of July.

What to look for:  Adults feed on grape foliage.
