The Veterinary Entomology program at Cornell
University is involved in research and extension activities
that directly benefit the producers of New York. Our program
focus includes dairy, beef and poultry production, however,
we also serve the diverse livestock commodities present across
New York.
Development and implementation of new integrated
pest management, IPM, strategies guides our program. We work
closely with the Dairy and Field Crops program housed in the
New
York State IPM program through both our research and extension
program.
We currently are the only veterinary entomology
group active in the Northeastern U.S. As such, we provide
resources to all of New England. Furthermore, we are the only
program in the U.S. which continuously works to improve IPM
strategies on dairy farms.
