Bee Phylogeny Overview (family/subfamily level)

In the following sections we describe previous studies on the phylogeny and relationships among the bees and their relatives, the speciform wasps. We then introduce the families of bees with some information on each family and current research on relationships within families. We also provide data sets (in the form of NEXUS files) and GenBank accession numbers (in the form of excel spreadsheets) when available. Finally, we summarize the literature on phylogenetic relationships among the seven bee families and what we believe to be the current state of higher-level bee phylogeny.
